EMILY | stylist
Emily, BC born and raised, received her hair diploma from John Casablancas Institute. Knowing from a young age an office job would never be her thing, she chose a career that could allow her to travel the world. Emily is well versed in all things hair, but extensions are her true passion. She fell in love with the art of hair extensions early in her career and for the past 3 years has been making hair dreams come true. When she’s not transforming clients at QALI, she spends her time hiking, biking, and napping. On a Saturday night she’ll either be tearing up the dance floor, or drinking an IPA at home on the couch.
KIM | stylist
Kim is our fun sized Irish Pocket Rocket! She joined QALI after moving from Ireland in May 2019. After a botched childhood haircut at the hands of her mum, Kim knew she wanted to be a stylist. She trained at the Cavan Institute in Ireland and trained in our extension method with the Loxy’s team from New Zealand. She loves to show her creative side with her colour and upstyle services and might join you at the bar afterwards for some Jagerbombs on a Saturday night.
ALYSSA | manager
After a successful career in the film industry, Alyssa decided to take a leap of faith and try a new career heading operations at QALI. Alyssa is Drake's #1 fan, loves a good, organized spreadsheet and can strike up a conversation with anyone. Don't even bother trying to challenge her to Harry Potter trivia (you'll definitely lose), and if you ever need a charcuterie board for a party, she's your girl! Fun fact: she didn’t use conditioner until she started working at QALI. She's is all about finding ways to have amazing hair with minimal effort.
JANELLE | founder
Janelle's obsession with hair, makeup and all things beauty has been a lifelong love affair. Always the unofficial hairdresser and makeup artist for her girlfriends, she finally got to turn these passions into a new career in 2016. QALI was born from a desire to bring superior quality, more affordable hair extensions to the women of Vancouver. You can read more about her story here.
