Kate was born and raised in North vancouver! She graduated from the professional hairstyling program at Blanche Macdonald in January 2023 and has been at QALI ever since! After a year of assisting she has bloomed into our newest stylist who loves highlights, bleach outs and QALI extension transformations.

A Tik Tok fav! A leave-in treatment mask for all hair types that clinically reverses damage in 4 minutes. The patented peptide technology works to repair damage from bleach, colour, chemical services & heat – restoring strength, softness, smoothness, and bounce to hair.
The K18PEPTIDE™ works at the innermost layer of hair, reconnecting polypeptide chains and disulfide bonds broken during bleaching, chemical services, and through heat damage.
By addressing these damage sites at the innermost layer of hair, core strength and elasticity are renewed for strong, smooth, bouncy hair—even after the most extreme damage done in the salon or at home.
HOW
- Shampoo, do not condition.
- Towel-dry thoroughly.
- Begin with 1 pump of K18 mask and add more as needed depending on length, thickness, and condition. Work evenly into hair from ends to roots, one pump at a time, maximum dosage is 3 pumps.
- Let sit for 4 minutes. Do not rinse out.
- Then comb + style as usual (fine to add heat protectant or styling product now).
- Use for the first 4-6 washes, then as needed

OUR EXTENSION METHOD
We offer one method of semi-permanent hair extensions at QALI which we call a micro-weft. This is a braidless, sewless, beaded weft method designed to give natural looking results that are gentle on your hair and less damaging than other extensions methods. We use our own brand of ethically sourced premium quality remy hair extensions and do not install hair that is not purchased at QALI. All prices below include the cost of hair + installation & blend.
1/2 HEAD
The half head is typically for those who mostly want volume. It's perfect if you have fine hair that is naturally quite long. The best part about a half head is that you get the benefits of having extensions, with less blow dry and styling time. It's not a volume that works for everyone, but for some it's just the perfect amount of oomph!
3/4 HEAD
The 3/4 head is our most popular volume of hair. It works for most people and definitely makes an impact. We can blend most cuts with a 3/4 head, especially if your hair is fine to regular thickness. You can achieve both length and volume with this baby!
FULL HEAD
The full head has the most volume and is usually required if you're looking to gain a significant amount of length or have thicker hair. It's a lot of upkeep to have a full head, but the results are 100% certified mermaid!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ARE EXTENSIONS ONLY FOR LONGER HAIR? WHAT IF I ONLY WANT VOLUME?
Our installation technique is great for people who want to achieve not only length, but also volume. We often have clients who do not want longer locks, just extra thickness or filling out their ends. In this case, we install the extensions and cut them to match the length of your natural hair. Not wanting extra volume and just length? By positioning the wefts in alternative positions we can help you achieve the length that you want without the added bulk of extra hair.
WHAT ABOUT COLOUR?
Our wefts come in 10 shades that match a broad range of hair colours. Ideally we want our clients to reach their desired hair colour before we install the extensions. Since the extensions are human hair, they can be coloured but we only recommend darkening or toning them. Your stylist will walk you through all of your colour options during your consultation. Since the hair we use is 100% human hair the colour will shift overtime, the same way your natural hair does. Darker shades will lighten up on the ends and blonde shades will warm up so we recommend booking in for a tone every few months or whenever you feel like the colour needs a refresh.
CAN YOU WEAR YOUR HAIR UP?
Yes! Our micro-weft extensions can be worn in ponytails, buns and braids without showing. The wefts are strategically placed to stay hidden and can always be adjusted during your maintenance appointments.
HOW MUCH DO THEY COST?
The cost of semi-permanent extensions totally depends on the length, density and style of your natural hair and how many rows of extensions you'll need to ensure it looks natural.
